Inquiry into the Provisions of the Valuation of Land Act 1916

This Inquiry was established on 22 June 2010 to report on the Valuation of Land Act 1916, which provides for the valuation of land, the establishment of the Office of the Valuer-General and the appointment of contract valuers.
This inquiry was self-referred on 22 June 2010.
Resolution passed 22 June 2010, Minutes No 14, Item 2, Page 1. The Joint Standing Committee on the Office of the Valuer-General has resolved to conduct the following inquiry: That the Committee inquire into the provisions of the Valuation of Land Act 1916 with particular reference to: 1. The efficiency and effectiveness of the current provisions of the Act; 2. Its application to stakeholders; and 3. Any other related matter.
