Standing Orders and Sessional Orders

Standing Orders and Sessional Orders

Due to technical issues with the Legislative Assembly's Standing and Sessional Orders webpages, as a temporary solution, the pages have been taken down and PDF versions of the current Standing and Sessional Orders publications can be accessed from this webpage instead.

Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. The regular Standing and Sessional Orders webpages will be reinstated once the issues have been resolved.

Consolidated Standing and Sessional Orders

The Consolidated Standing and Sessional Orders are the rules of the Legislative Assembly that are currently in force. In cases where a Standing Order has been temporarily altered by a Sessional Order, the in force Sessional Order is shown.

Standing Orders

The Standing Orders are the permanent rules of the Legislative Assembly. The current Standing Orders were approved by the Governor on 13 April 2016. Where a Standing Order has been temporarily altered by a Sessional Order, this publication does not show the in force Sessional Order.

Sessional Orders

The Sessional Orders are temporary rules of the Legislative Assembly. They modify or replace certain Standing Orders for the duration of a parliamentary session and have the force of a Standing Order. This publication shows only the Sessional Orders that have temporarily altered Standing Orders for the current session of the 56th Parliament, as at 23 March 2016.
