Follow up of Auditor-General's Performance Audit Reports October 2009 to September 2010

Under section 57 of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, the functions of the Committee include the examination of any report of the Auditor-General laid before the Legislative Assembly and any circumstances connected with those reports. On 23 June 2011, the Committee resolve to adopt a similar method of  examination of the performance audit reports of the Auditor-General to that followed in the 54th Parliament.   Under this approach, the Committee requests all agencies the subject of recommendations or significant comments in a report, 12 months after the tabling of that report, provide a submission outlining the agency’s response, including any action to date. The Committee then will publish the submissions and report on its findings.   The Committee’s examination on the 55th Parliament is commencing with the following Auditor-General's reports tabled between October 2009 and September 2010:   Handback of the M4 Tollway, Report Number 193, Tabled 27 October 2009 Government Advertising, Report Number 194, Tabled 9 December 2009 Managing Forensic Analysis, Fingerprints and DNA, Report Number 195, Tabled 10 February 2010 Working With Children Check, Report Number 196, Tabled 10 February 2010 Improving Road Safety: School Zones, Report Number 197, Tabled 25 February 2010 Improving the Performance of Metropolitan Bus Services, Report Number 198, Tabled 10 March 2010 Injury Management in the NSW Public Sector, Report Number 199, tabled 31 March 2010 Access to Overnight Centre-Based Disability Respite, Report Number 200, Tabled 5 May 2010 Severance Payments to Special Temporary Employees, Report Number 201, Tabled 16 June 2010 Knowing the Collections, Report Number 203, Tabled 1 September 2010.
