Economic development in Aboriginal communities

This inquiry was established on 13 August 2015 to inquire into and report on economic development in Aboriginal communities. The committee held its first public hearing on 26 February 2016, and the committee has held additional hearings and site visits throughout March, April and May on the Central Coast, Dubbo, Tamworth and the Far South Coast.

discussion paper was launched on 7 July 2016, which highlights a number of specific issues that have been identified by inquiry participants as being critical to driving economic reform in Aboriginal communities. The committee is seeking submissions in response to the questions asked in the discussion paper.
