Minerals Legislation Amendment (Offshore Drilling and Associated Infrastructure Prohibition) Bill 2023

This inquiry was established to examine and report on the Minerals Legislation Amendment (Offshore Drilling and Associated Infrastructure Prohibition) Bill 2023, which amends legislation to prohibit mining and development of offshore oil, gas, and mineral resources in NSW. The Committee will table a report on their findings by 21 November 2023.

 

The Committee will investigate any constitutional and unintended consequences of the bill, whether there are other ways to achieve the intended outcomes of the Bill, enforcement and compliance issues and the environmental impacts of offshore drilling.
