Exhibition - NSW Parliament Plein Air Art Prize - 17 June to 31 July 2015

Exhibition - NSW Parliament Plein Air Art Prize - 17 June to 31 July 2015

From 17 June to 31 July 2015, the Fountain Court will display an exhibition of 42 artworks by finalists in the NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize.

This annual prize is awarded for the best ‘en plein air’ painting of a New South Wales landscape, be it natural, urban, rural or industrial. To paint ‘en plein air’ means to paint entirely out of doors, come rain, hail or shine. It’s a very old and very unique style of painting, and this exhibition is a must see for anyone with an interest in painting, landscapes and creative expression.

Entry to the exhibition is free, with doors open from Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. While here, you can also view a special Salons Des Refuses exhibition Theatrette Foyer (just ask the front desk attendants to escort you downstairs).

This exhibition is being hosted by the Presiding Officers.
