HOPE Butterfly Installation - Nick Baldas

HOPE Butterfly Installation returns to the Fountain Court in June 2022, to mark World Environment Day on Sunday 5 June.

Curated by artist Nick Baldas, the colourful installation involves the work of hundreds of primary and secondary school children, who were invited to 'add their wings' to the butterfly colony using tracing paper and crayons. Come and watch the butterflies as they flutter gently in the wind and catch the sunlight as it bounces off the fountain.

How to see the exhibition

In person: Visit the Fountain Court exhibition space at the Parliament of NSW on weekdays, 9am-5pm, between Wednesday 1 June and Thursday 23 June 2022. Entry is via the gatehouse to the left of the building, and the Fountain Court is just beyond the main reception desks. Please note that this exhibition will be displayed along the glass surrounding the Fountain Court, while Artreach: Reaching others through art by the St George Arts Society will be displayed on the Fountain Court walls.

As part of COVID safety measures, while checking in, visitors will be required to have their temperature checked and must show proof of vaccination.
