For the first time, the popular Behind the Lines exhibition of the year's best political cartoons is being exhibited at NSW Parliament House. Visit in the Parliament's Fountain Court on weekdays from 30 June to 28 July 2022.

Remember 2021's best political moments captured by Australia's most talented cartoonists including works by Glen Le Leivre, who was named 2021 Political Cartoonist of the Year. The year's theme is Prophecy & Chance. It covers topics from the pandemic, vaccine rollouts and lockdowns to the Women's March and Black Lives Matter protests.

Developed and presented by the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, the 2021 exhibition features 105 works by 38 of Australia's finest political cartoonists.

Political cartoons continue to form part of Australia's rich tradition of free speech and free expression, values that are the cornerstones of our democracy.

Behind the Lines is a travelling exhibition developed by Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, proudly supported by the National Collection Institutions Touring and Outreach program, an Australian Government program aiming to improve access to the national collections for all Australians.
