Director of Perpetual Trustee Company from 1885, Chairman from 1891 - 1907. Director of Tooths Brewery from 1891 until 1908. Director of Allied Assurance Company. Commercial Assurance Company. On Committee of Australian Jockey Club, Chairman 1902, 1904 - 1905. Committee member of Australian Jockey Club, Chairman in 1902, 1904 until 1905.

Married (2) Edith Maria Moore in Hawthorne, Victoria and had issue, 8 daughters and 3 sons. Church of England. Funeral at St Thomas' Church of England cemetery at Enfield.
