Qualifications, occupations and interests
Lawyer (barrister). Educated at The King's School, Parramatta, and as a non matriculating student at the University of Sydney. Admitted to the Bar in November 1858. Won a large practice and became a District Court Judge. Became a Crown Prosecutor. Became an Acting Supreme Court Judge and a Judge from 1894 until 1910, Judge in divorce from 1896, Acting Chief Justice from 1909 until 1910.
