Qualifications, occupations and interests
Stock and station agent. Educated at Hanwell College. Arrived in Victoria in 1852. Entered Bank of Victoria in 1853; worked in Castlemaine and Maryborough branches. Joined J.S Lavender in running Marra station, near Wagga in 1865; sold out after a few years. Founded Wilkinson & Lavender, stock and station agents of Sydney, Hay, Wagga Wagga and Bourke in 1870. Managing director of 1901; retired in 1927, but on death of successor assumed control until a few days before death. For some years was a trustee of the Graziers Association. Member of the Sheepbreeders Association and the Australian Jockey Club.

Son of David Wilkinson, engineer, and Elizabeth Bliss. Married (1) Alice Georgiana Foss Jarrett on 15 November 1882 at South Yarra, Victoria, and had no issue. Married (2) Annie Louise Leitch (Lavender) on 26 February 1890 at Burwood and had issue, 2 daughters and 1 son. Church of England.
