Pastoralist and publican. Arrived in Australia (probably Victoria) c.1856; gold miner at Ballarat and Bendigo; moved to New South Wales probably c.1860; went to Forbes with parents c.1863. Became a well known hotel owner and property holder in the Forbes district. Had 3 stations in the Forbes district at death and more property in other parts of New South Wales.Will proved at 225,804 of which 116,000 was realty and the rest mostly shares, mortgages and debentures.
