Became a large scale pastoralist. Became a director of Australian Steam Navigation Company. Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Limited 1890 until 1922. Perpetual Trustee Company. Acquired several city properties. Commissioner of Calcutta Exhibition in 1884. Member of Union Club.
