Naval Officer. Educated at Royal Naval College in Portsmouth; In 1835 entered naval service of HMS Barham and the Meditteranean Fleet; in 1839 resigned and joined his brother Frederick in New South Wales; in 1840 went to Queensland to Mount Brisbane station; In August 1842 had an affray with bushrangers; in 1873 returned to Cockington in Devon, England; leaving A.Raff as agent; in 1909 sold the run to a cousin and McConnel. Member of the North Australian and Queensland Clubs
