Landed proprieter. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin (BA 1827); gained Diploma of Edinburgh College of Surgeons. Arrived in New South Wales early in 1828 and became a surgeon at Sydney Hospital. Assistant Surgeon at Moreton Bay 1830 - 1835. Appointed superintendent of Goulburn Hospital. Lived life of a landed proprieter. Member of Association seeking to import coolies in 1842.
