Gained his Masters degree in Business Administration in 1982 - 1983 at the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of New South Wales. Timber industry - snigger Tractor) road construction - grader and truck driver; wheat - hauling and lumping; life assurance salesman. Queensland Amateur Heavyweight Boxing Champion 1958 - 1959. Represented Australia as an international Rugby Union player in 1957 - 1959. He changed to Rugby League, played in seven premiership sides with St George and from 1963 - 1966 was chosen to represent Australia as an international Rugby League player. Former Captain / Coach of the Canterbury / Bankstown Rugby League team 1967 - 1970. Former Sports Commentator with Australian Broadcasting Corporation Television 1970 - 1973. Life Assurance consultant 1958 - 1968. State Government Legal Officer 1968 - 1969. Barrister since 1970.
