Appointed as a Queens Counsel (Q.C) in 1982. Appointed as a Judge of the District Court 1993 - 2002. Recreational interests include golf.

Divorced 1976. Married (2) Judith Little (died 1987) in 1980. Married (3) Heather Lise Barritt in 1990.
