Attended Sydney Church of England Grammar and University of Sydney., BA (1931), LLB (1934), called to the Bar in 1934; prosecutor with L.C Badham at war crimes trial, Rabaul in 1947; dairy farmer in Berrima district from 1950 until 1960 resuming legal practice in Moss Vale in 1960; executive member of Milk Zone Dairymen's council; chairman of Wingecarribee Community Hospital Board; committee member of Show Society; member of Berrima District Legacy Group; national and NSW amateur golf champion, foundation member of New South Wales Golf Association; Union Club
