Member of Teacher's Federation and was treasurer from 1936-1945, life member in 1972; member of Secondary Teachers Association, president in 1941; director of Teachers Building Limited 1938-1945 and of Service Supplies Pty Limited 1944-1955; fellow of Senate of University of Sydney 1953-1955; teacher of Sydney Technical High School 1956-1958, Randwick Boys High School 1958-1962.
