Medical and veterinary technician. Educated at Kogarah Superior public school and Sydney Technical College; commenced work as an assistant in pathology department of a Sydney hospital; employed at Newcastle, as a technician, later as a senior technician, Veterinary Research Unit at Glenfield from 1923 until 1945; later became a branch officer at Manchester Unity; foundation member; later became president of Liverpool Returned Serviceman's League. Member of Liverpool and Sydney Legacy committees; director of Liverpool District Hospital until 1964 and Blacktown District Hospital; Oddfellow.
Military Service
Served in Australian Infantry Forces, Army Medical Corps from 1917 until 1919, in hospital ships, then at 14th Australian General Hospital, sergeant.
Honours Received
Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1968
