Arrived in New South Wales in 1908; boilermaker; assistant secretary of Redfern branch of the Boilermakers Union from 1920 until 1932, secretary from 1933 until 1936, vice president of federal council from 1917 until 1936; executive member of the Trades and Labour Council (TLC) in 1927; arrested during seamen's strike 1924.
