Member of Metropolitan Water, Sewerage and Drainage Board 1933 - 1935; trustee of National Park; racehorse owner, member of Australian Jockey Club; Freemason.

Son of William Prideaux Tressider, coachbuilder, and Elizabeth Jane White, Cornish migrants. Married Celia Johnson in c.1900 at Clifton Hill, Victoria and had issue, 2 daughters and 1 son. Methodist. Funeral at Eastern suburbs crematorium.
