Educated at Highgate and Braintree Colleges., London; arrived in Melbourne in 1883, entered employment of William James and Henry Thompson, tea merchants; later became a buyer for Lange and Thonemann and Joseph Webster and Company; founded Innes-Noad, Price and Griffiths in 1891, sold out in 1897, went to Brisbane; after some years settled in Sydney; foundation president of Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies from 1918 until 1928; member of Twilight Homes committee and of Influenza Advisory committee.
