A Bathurst-based small businessman and long time NSW Nationals Member, Sam Farraway was selected to fill a vacancy in the Legislative Council after the retirement of the Hon. Niall Blair MLC in 2019. Mr Farraway has a long history of working with the community; in business and through volunteering. In addition to his role as Senior Vice Chairman of the NSW Nationals, he has spent over 10 years as President of the Bathurst Agricultural, Horticultural & Pastoral Association which runs the Royal Bathurst Show. In 2015 he won young entrepreneur of the year at the Carillon Business Awards. Mr Farraway is a great community advocate and has shown a commitment to working for the people in his region. With the skills and determination to make a real difference to rural and regional New South Wales, he is committed to continuing the good work of the NSW Nationals in Government.
