All electricity networks experience interruptions from time to time. Each
network must meet reliability standards as set out in their licence conditions
and these are monitored by IPART. In relation to disruptions on the network,
there are a number of factors which can impact the local power supply, such as
trees contacting power lines, car accidents, weather conditions, vandalism and
acts of third parties.
In the IPART 2015⁄16 Annual licence compliance report the overall
performance of all networks including with their licence reliability conditions
was found to be good
