Answer -

I am advised:

The NSW Government provides financial assistance to all councils in NSW for the maintenance of their regional roads in recognition of their importance to local communities and businesses.

Local councils are responsible for managing funding, determining and carrying out work priorities on regional and local roads, including preventative flood works.

Local councils have access to a range of financial assistance grants for works on council owned and managed roads.
