That this House:
- Notes that female paramedics in Newcastle have had to take stress leave
following verbal abuse and threats, as well as several other incidents in
recent months.
- Notes with concern that paramedic assaults in New South Wales rose from 89
assaults in 2012 to 133 assaults in 2013.
- Urges the Attorney General to consider strengthening provisions dealing
with offences against the Ambulance Service similar to the measures introduced
in Tasmania's Ambulance Service Amendment Bill 2013.
