Standing Ethics Committee

The Standing Ethics Committee was established to prepare a draft code of conduct for Members of the Legislative Assembly, and to review any code introduced. The Committee is to carry out the educative work in relation to ethical standards applying to Members of the Legislative Assembly as well as providing advice on the standards. This Committee's role and functions has been continued by the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics, which was established by resolution of the Assembly on 4 December 2003.
During the current parliament, no inquiries have been undertaken by the committee.
