Draft Constitution (Disclosures By Members) Regulation 2024
This inquiry was referred to the Committee by resolution of the House on Thursday 8 February 2024. Under the terms of reference, the Committee will inquire and report into the Draft Constitution (Disclosures By Members) Regulation 2024, which was tabled in the House on Thursday 8 February 2024 and, if made, will repeal and replace the Constitution (Disclosures by Members) Regulation 1983. The object of the Draft Regulation is to provide for the ongoing disclosure and electronic publication of pecuniary interests and other matters relating to Members of Parliament and their immediate family members.
- That, under section 14A of the Constitution Act 1902 (NSW), the draft Constitution (Disclosures by Members) Regulation 2024 be referred to the Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics Committee for inquiry and report by Monday 2 September 2024.
- That if required, the Committee has leave of the House to confer with the Privileges Committee of the Legislative Council in order to meet the requirements of Standing Order 311.
