Study Tour to India, Europe and North America

The purpose of this inquiry was to examine different approaches to the regulation of ethical standards for Members of Parliament. The Committee resolved on 11 October 1995 for a sub-committee to undertake a visit of inspection to a number of overseas Parliaments.
The Committee resolved for a sub-committee to undertake a visit of inspection to a number of overseas Parliaments on 11 October 1995. Mr Egan moved, according to notice that the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics have leave to travel overseas in relation to its inquiry into a Draft Code of Conduct. The Question was put and passed on 12 December 1995.
