October 2021: OUR 'MAGNA CARTA' MOMENT
On Tuesday 12 October 2021, President Matthew Mason-Cox delivered his inaugural Bicentenary statement, providing an overview of the Legislative Council's plans to celebrate the Bicentenary and describing the formation of the first Council as "Australia's Magna Carta moment".
