This paper presents data from the 2016 Census of Population and Housing for the 93 NSW State Electoral Districts (SEDs) as redistributed in 2021. A notional political party affiliation has been provided for each electoral district, based on the 2019 election results as calculated by Antony Green. Where available, figures from the 2011 Census have also been included to show change over time. A companion Background Paper – NSW Electorate Profiles: 2016 Census (2021 Redistribution) – presents the same data by electorate.

This publication is arranged by selected census characteristics. For each characteristic, three numbers from the 2016 Census are provided for all 93 NSW SEDs:

  • A count of persons/families/dwellings;

  • The count expressed as a percentage of the total electoral division population, or a subset of that population (where relevant); and

  • The electorate's rank in relation to all electorates (in most cases based on the percentage).
