Presiding Officers and Clerks Conference

​​​​​​The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Hon. Shelley Hancock MP and the President of the Legislative Council, the Hon. John Ajaka MLC were delighted to host over 80 delegates from 20 Australian and Pacific Nation Parliaments for the 48th Presiding Officers and Clerks Conference at the Parliament of New South Wales. The conference did take place at Parliament House from Monday 3 to Friday 7 July.

This conference provided a unique forum for the Presiding Officers and Clerks to discuss roles of the Presiding Officer and the Clerk in the Parliamentary institution.  Speakers, Presidents and Clerks from Australia and the Pacific participated in a program of seminars and activities designed to share valuable ideas and experiences of parliamentary practice and procedure. ​
