TRANSPORT FOR NSW LISMORE PILOT – FUTURE EVENTS

(1) Can the Minister advise, will the Government continue to fund the Transport for NSW specialist positions/project manager pilot programs for future natural disaster events?
Answer -

I am advised

Transport for NSW will continue to provide support to councils within the current NSW Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. The level of support is dependent on the severity of the disaster and the needs of individual councils.

Transport for NSW has provided Lismore City Council with a dedicated project manager to support recovery efforts, including to facilitate direct negotiations with NSW Reconstruction Authority to support the assessment and approval process.

Transport for NSW will continue to work in partnership with councils to support community reconstruction.
