773 - Regional Transport and Roads - ONE ROAD PLATFORM - NSW POLICE CONSULTATION

Farraway, Sam to the Minister for Jobs and Tourism, Special Minister of State, Minister for Roads, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for Music and the Night-time Economy representing the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads

(1) Have the NSW Police been consulted on the progress with the One Road Platform in 2023?

Answer -

I am advised

The roll out of Local Government Areas were prioritised in consultation with combat agencies including the NSW Police Force, the NSW Rural Fire Service and the NSW State Emergency Service. By the end of 2023, all 128 Local Government Areas will be given the opportunity to publish local road incidents onto Live Traffic NSW through OneRoad, expanding the reach of traffic information to all roads in NSW.

Transport for NSW manages incidents and incident response in real-time with NSW Police Force via the incident management system used by emergency agencies whilst liaising closely with the on- shift Police Liaison Officer representing NSW Police Force within the Transport Management Centre Transport Operations Room. OneRoad is used to publish road related disruption messages to the Live Traffic NSW website. The Transport Management Centre and Live Traffic NSW websites are available to the NSW Police Force at all times, including in the event of an emergency.
