(4) Will the funding allocated within the TFNSW budget for the Regional Apprentice and University Student Travel Card be redirected to Western Sydney road projects in the September Budget?

(5) What is the cost breakdown of administering the Regional Apprentice and University Student Travel Card cost per card?

(6) How many Regional Apprentices have applied for and received their Regional Apprentice and University Student Travel Card as of the 14th June 2023 per local government area?

REGIONAL APPRENTICE AND STUDENT TRAVEL CARD

I am advised

(1) No.

(2) and (3) Decisions made as part of the State budget will be communicated as part of the budget process.

(4) No.

(5) Administration costs for the Regional Apprentice and University Student Travel Card were approximately $838 per card on 14 June 2023.

(6) See table 1 below.

(7) None.

(8) to (11) Applications are currently suspended due to the poor design parameters set by the former Liberal-National government, which allowed the purchase of non-travel related expenses at service stations such as cigarettes, soft drink and confectionery.
