(1) Will the Government commit to transition all buses for public transport away from internal combustion engines and towards electric / hydrogen vehicles?

Answer -

I am advised

Transport for NSW is leading the way in the transition of diesel and Compressed Natural Gas buses to Zero Emission Buses (ZEBs) that will be powered by renewable energy. There are currently over 100 ZEBs operating on Sydney roads, with 200 expected by the end of 2023.

Under the ZEBs Transition Plan, all Greater Sydney public transport buses will be transitioned to zero emissions technology by 2035, with outer metropolitan regions to follow by 2040, and regional and rural areas by 2047.
