TRUCK TOLLS

(1) In the submission to the Parliamentary Budget Office, NSW Labor committed to refunding a third of the truck tolls to businesses for 10 truck trips taken per week, per account on the M5 East or the M8:

(a) How many vehicles are expected to benefit from the scheme?

(b) How will drivers be able to sign up to the scheme?

I am advised

Transport for NSW is continuing to work with NSW Treasury on the NSW Government’s commitment to provide a reduced cost to heavy vehicles using M5 East or the M8 motorways for up to 10 trips.

The scheme is scheduled to be delivered in 2024. Details on how to access the scheme will be announced prior to commencement.
