Pearson, Mark to the
Special Minister of State, and Minister for the Public Service and Employee Relations, Aboriginal Affairs, and the Arts representing the Treasurer, and Minister for Energy and Environment
|
My question is directed to the Hon. Don Harwin, representing the Minister for Energy and Environment. I understand that the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is responsible for keeping the public register of licences issued to harm wildlife. Does the National Parks and Wildlife Service also keep a record of those licence applications that have been refused and the reasons for the refusal? If so, will the Minister provide a list of all of those refused licence applications to harm kangaroos and other wildlife for the period 1 August 2019 to 31 December 2020? |

The Hon. DON HARWIN (Special Minister of State, and Minister for the Public Service and Employee Relations, Aboriginal Affairs, and the Arts) (16:52:22): I hate to disappoint the honourable member, but sadly I can't. I give the House this undertaking: I will try my best to ask the question to the Minister in the other place whom I represent, the Hon. Matt Kean, Treasurer, and Minister for Energy and Environment. If we can, we will get that information for the honourable member as quickly as possible. |

I am advised: (1) No public register of reasons for refusing a licence is required to be published and the information is not available for the species and period requested. |
