(1) With regards to the decision to send HSC students on buses to Homebush/Olympic Park receive their COVID 19 vaccination:

(a) Was the Department of Education formally consulted when the program was originally devised?

(i) If so, when did discussions commence?

(ii) Who was involved in these discussions?

(b) Was the NSW Teachers Federation involved in the original discussions?

(c) Did the Department of Education formally refuse to participate in the program?

(i) If so, who conveyed this positon to the Department of Health?

(ii) When did this occur?

Answer -

(1) 

(a-c) NSW Health has worked closely with the Department of Education since the onset of the HSC student vaccination program. Key stakeholders from NSW Health, Department of Education and various NSW government agencies were involved. The Department of Education is responsible for engaging the NSW Teachers Federation in these discussions. The Department of Education has worked actively and closely with NSW Health to prioritise HSC students in Local Government Areas of concern for COVID-19 vaccination.
