(1) NSW Fair Trading administers the Financial Counselling Services Program (FCSP):

(a) What is the total funding amount for the current financial year?

(b) What was the funding allocation for the 2018-19 financial year?

(c) What was the funding allocation for the 2017-18 financial year?

(d) What was the funding allocation for the 2016-17 financial year?

(e) What was the funding allocation for the 2015-16 financial year?

(f) What was the funding allocation for the 2014-15 financial year?

(g) What was the funding allocation for the 2013-14 financial year?

(h) What was the funding allocation for the 2012-13 financial year?

(i) What was the funding allocation for the 2011-12 financial year?

(j) What was the funding allocation for the 2010-11 financial year?

(2) What programs were funded in the last financial year from the FCSP?

(a) What are the names and locations of the organisations running these programs?

(b) How much funding was allocated to each organisation as stated in their Funding Agreement?

(3) Has the Government allocated additional funding for this program (FSCP) to address consumer financial issues emerging from the 2019-2020 bushfires?

(a) If so, how much additional funding was allocated for this financial year?

(b) How much additional funding has been allocated for the 2020-21 financial year?

(c) Which organisations have received extra funding through the FSCP for the purposes of providing financial counselling and advice to bushfire affected individuals and communities?

(4) Has the Government allocated additional funding for this program (FSCP) to address consumer financial issues emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic?

Answer -

(1) The Financial Counselling Services Program (the FCSP) was established in 2012. The FCSP is funded triennially, and the current funding period is from 1 October 2019 to 30 June 2022. Funding for the financial years 2012-2013 to 2019-2020 is as follows:

(a) 2019-2020: $7,960.394.

(b) 2018-2019: $7,695,472.

(c) 2017-2018: $7,437,938.

(d) 2016-2017: $7,190,686.

(e) 2015-2016: $6,921,011.

(f) 2014-2015: $6,687,011.

(g) 2013-2014: $6,460,986.

(h) 2012-2013: $6,241,840.

The Financial Counselling Services Program is sufficiently funded to cope with 2020 Bushfire recovery and the impact of Covid-19.
