  1. What is the estimated total cost of the Grafton Correctional Centre?
  2. What was the total expenditure of the prison bed capacity strategy program phase 3 in 2016-17? Note that the name of this line item has changed in the 2017-18 budget.
  3. What was the total expenditure of the Prison Bed Immediate Future Needs program in 2016-17? Note that these are works in progress despite the name change in the 2017-18 budget.
  4. What was the total expenditure of the Prison Bed Medium Term program in 2016-17? Note that these are works in progress despite the name change in the 2017-18 budget.

I am advised:

  1. The total cost of the new Grafton Correctional Centre is commercially sensitive information and cannot be disclosed.
  2. Projects originally approved under the Prison Bed Capacity Strategy Phase 3 are now reported under the Prison Bed Medium Term program from 2017-18 onwards. Please refer to Budget Paper 2 201-18 Infrastructure Statement.
  3. $28.8 million (forecast as at 30 April 2017).
  4. $350 million (forecast as at 30 April 2017).
