  1. Given reports that Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital is over-budget by as much as $8 million, will Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital exceed its 2016-17 budget?
  2. Given reports that Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital has put in place a senior recruitment freeze, is Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital delaying in any way the recruitment of staff of any position level in any area?
Answer -
  1. The new Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital opened in January 2016. In the past 12 calendar months, the hospital has treated more than 3,000 additional admitted patients. In anticipation of increased patient activity, additional funding was made available to the hospital.
  2. There is no recruitment freeze at Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital.
