  1. How much money has the Government allocated for the Werris Creek Water Treatment facility upgrade in 2017-18?
  2. When will the funding assessment for the Werris Creek Water Treatment facility upgrade be completed?
Answer -

Liverpool Plains Shire Council has secured $10 million from the Australian Government towards its $28.3 million Liverpool Plains Regional Water Supply Project. Council is seeking a further $10 million from the NSW Government's Safe and Secure Water Program and the project was shortlisted to go through a funding assessment as part of the NSW 2017 Budget announcement. The NSW Government also recently supported an application for additional Australian Government funding for this project.

The assessment by the Department of Industry – Crown Lands and Water and Infrastructure NSW in accordance with the Restart NSW Fund Act 2011 will inform the NSW Government's decision to fund the project in due course.
