To the President and Members of the Legislative Council, the petitioners of New South Wales state that 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of the 1983 Richmond Report. People living with severe mental health challenges remain overrepresented in the criminal justice systems, hospitals and among the homeless and unemployed. Our last inquiry was 20 years ago, and NSW is due for a comprehensive evaluation and review. The petitioners request that the House starts a NSW Parliament Inquiry on mental health.
