To the President and Members of the Legislative Council, the petitioners of Allied Health Professions (incl. medical scientists) of NSW Health state that in contrast to medical and other healthcare professions, allied healthcare professionals (including medical scientists, pharmacists, psychologists, physiotherapists etc.) have been offered an inequitable and significantly lower pay rise, as little as 2% for some staff, whereas other healthcare professionals received a 4% pay rise. The petitioners request that the House call on the Government to increase the pay of all allied health care professionals by the same 4% and 0.5% superannuation rise offered to the health care sector across the board, and that it be backdated from 1 July 2023.
