2600 - GREYHOUND TRACK UPGRADE TENDER PROCESS

(1) Has Greyhound Racing NSW spent Government money upgrading tracks in New South Wales?

(2) Is further spending planned?

(3) Regarding the awarding of contracts to the firm Heavy Industry Solutions in Lithgow, Nowra and Taree:

(a) What was the winning tender amount for each site and how did they compare (in financial outgoings) to unsuccessful tenders?

Answer -
GREYHOUND TRACK UPGRADE TENDER PROCESS

(1) A list of projects funded through the NSW Government’s Greyhound Capital Grants Program is available at www.nsw.gov.au/office-of-racing/funding-programs

(2) Greyhound Capital Grants Program funding remains available for allocation to projects. Project applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with conditions set out in the Greyhound Racing NSW Operating Licence.

(3) The awarding of contracts for the Lithgow, Nowra and Taree projects is a matter for Greyhound Racing NSW. No funding from the Greyhound Capital Grants Program has been allocated to these projects.
