2163 - STATE SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS

(1) How many State Significant Development (SSD) applications were received by the Department from 4 February 2018 to 4 February 2020?

(a) In relation to those SSDs:

(i) What was the average time taken to issue Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) after a request was received?

(ii) What was the average time taken for applicants to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement?

(iii) What was the average time taken for an applicant to submit a Submissions Report following exhibition of a SSD application?

(iv) What was the average time taken to assess the SSD application and prepare an Assessment Report?

(v) Once an Assessment Report was prepared, what was the average time taken for a SSD application to be determined?

 

Answer -

(1) There were 197 State Significant Development (SSD) applications received by the Department from 4 February 2018 to 4 February 2020.

(a) In relation to those SSDs:

(i) The average Government days to issue Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) after a request was received was 28 days.

(ii) The average time taken for applicants to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement was 316 days.

(iii) The average time taken for applicants to submit a Submissions Report was 115 days.

(iv) The average Government days taken to assess a completed SSD application was 50 days. The average time taken for applicants to respond to requests for information during the assessment was 55 days.

(v) The average Government days taken for a SSD application to be determined was 15 days.
