I am advised:
- The Government is supporting councils to reduce food waste through a $105.5
million investment under Waste Less, Recycle More initiative. It is supporting
councils to address the problem through education, new collections to boost
recycling, infrastructure to process the new supply and ensuring strong markets
for the recycled produce.
- The Government has been supporting the expansion of kerbside
collection services for food and garden waste, like Penrith's, since
2013.
