  1. Considering the proposed tender of services at the Summer Hill Centre, will the assets and buildings remain in Government ownership?
  2. What arrangements will be in place regarding the maintenance of the building and assets?
  3. Has a written commitment been made to the short-listed tenderers that the Government will manage maintenance of the building and assets?
  4. What are the projected ongoing costs of maintenance at the Centre?
  5. Considering that these costs will unlikely be covered by National Disability Insurance Scheme, how will this be budgeted for by:
    1. The Government;
    2. Family and Community Services?
Answer -

(1) The assets and buildings at the Summer Hill Centre will remain under Government ownership when the services transfer to the new provider.

(2) As the Specialist Disability Accommodation provider at Summer Hill, the Department of Family and Community Services has responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of he building and its assets.

(3) Yes.

(4) and (5) I am advised rent received for the property will be used to manage the funding of maintenance fees, which can vary from year to year.
